ACTELOS FORGE / EKB
Put accumulated expertise to work in business decisions
Actelos EKB (Expert Knowledge Base) organizes knowledge, methods, skill entries and business metrics across industries and business functions. It helps teams start with a business question, find relevant measures and methods, and identify AI improvement opportunities worth evaluating.

01 / EXPERT MAP
See the coverage. Then explore the question
An industry view helps explain how a business operates. A functional view helps explain how specialist work is carried out. The same map brings together retail, consumer goods, manufacturing and securities and capital markets, alongside engineering, sales, finance, supply chain and growth. Move from a domain to a business topic, then explore its metrics, knowledge, methods and skill entries. Directory and graph views support different ways of browsing.

02 / METRICS CENTER
Connect business topics to layers of metrics
Start with a business topic, then examine outcomes, drivers, processes and data definitions. The Metrics center brings scattered measures into a shared reading path, helping teams clarify what they want to improve and which related measures they also need to examine.
- Expert-defined levels and cross-level relationships are retained. Where a source does not specify a level, that gap is identified; a path is not automatically treated as a causal relationship.

03 / FORMULAS & LOGIC
Go beyond the metric name to its calculation
The same metric name can hide different measurement scopes. EKB displays source formulas, numerators and denominators, time windows, conditions and supporting explanations, so teams can check the basis of a number before using it.
- Sources, versions and expert-assigned status remain available. Calculation definitions, business assumptions and relationships awaiting validation are kept distinct so differences can be traced.

04 / SKILLS CENTER
Find specialist resources for the work at hand
The Skills center separates industry and functional expertise, then organizes entries by type of work. Teams can start with a task—such as diagnosing store performance, checking metric definitions or analyzing inventory and replenishment—and find relevant skill entries.
- Entries retain method references, required inputs, deliverables and usage boundaries. This is a directory of specialist task resources; readiness for execution must be assessed for the specific project.

AN ILLUSTRATIVE EXAMPLE / CONVENIENCE STORES
Why can stockouts and excess inventory coexist
This generic analysis path illustrates how the knowledge is organized. It is not a customer case study or a promise of results.
Define the business question
Set the stores, products, times and observation window. Distinguish what customers cannot buy from recorded stockouts and inventory that is not sellable.
Find related metrics
Consider sellable availability, inventory turnover, fresh-food write-offs and operating contribution together, rather than optimizing one number in isolation.
Check formulas and definitions
Confirm whether inventory is measured in units or at cost, whether denominators and time windows align, and how missing observations and exceptions are handled.
Select methods and task resources
Find inventory and replenishment diagnostics, merchandise analysis and definition checks. Make the missing inputs explicit.
Evaluate AI improvement opportunities
Consider opportunities such as exception verification, information organization or analytical assistance. Check their relationships to multiple metrics, human review and the full workload before deciding what to validate.
Develop evidence-based analysis questions and a validation plan before deciding on business actions or claiming results.
